Due to the general home renovation and life, I was unable to reach the puzzle table. Instead, I looked for online puzzles and read in puzzles groups. I would never criticize or question my colleagues — I was only shocked by the size of some collection, and also surprised by some comments.
I started with two puzzles and kept them on the table. Then I have six, so I rank them in a corner. Then I had to buy a box to hold 10 puzzles. Finally, I had to buy a bookcase to store the 25-30 puzzle. I’ll stop there. If they don’t fit on the shelf, I won’t. The collection is yours.
I’m lucky to do two or three times a month and be impressed by the people who make the 300-500 puzzle every year! I can’t imagine that time.
I’m talking to some members of the group. One has over $500 in one person to stack and must turn the spare bedroom into the puzzle archive. Others use garages. Others have large sales units. There is no way to organize (dis) lol
Some people feel pressured to have the largest collections and some comments are important — almost making fun of smaller collections or trying to top each other. As I said in one of my first blogs, there’s no right or wrong about the puzzle. You can get two or two thousand. You can collect some artists, brands, or topics. You can choose to limit what’s appropriate, or create extra space.
My friend Samina sent me a picture of 200 photos plus a neat puzzle collection held on the shelf. She was at the top of the puzzle game. And if she gets more or less, great.
